What's with the Rooster
In Retirement (SIR) is an organization of retired and semi-retired men.
joined together to maintain old friendships, form new ones and share
the interests of retirement. Incorporated in 1959, the organization now
has about 22,000 members in 157 branches. There are no dues, and no
advocacy of political, religious or fraternal organizations.
For December Mario Vazquez, our Program Chairman, has arranged for our entertainment of “Do-Dah” which will be performed by MARTHA KENDALL. She will enliven us with the songs of Stephen Foster's most beloved music and tells the poignant story of the life of America’s first professional songwriter. Martha Kendall is a singer and multi-instrumentalist. She plays on Joe Weed’s record “Swanee, The Music of Stephen Foster,” and she recently performed at the Stephen Foster symposium in Kyoto, Japan.
